Snow Cats

It's been nine years since the last time it snowed here. Our two cats are both less than nine years old, so this was a novel experience for them. After initial trepidation, they both explored the altered landscape. This must have been particularly strange for them on the second day, during which it rained on the snow, encrusting it with a layer of slippery ice. Only the softest of footsteps allowed them to walk upon the surface without falling through into the deep powder beneath.
